I am an interdisciplinary artist and graphic designer, currently working out of the NYC Metropolitan area. I graduated with honors from Moravian University, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art, with a Graphic and Interactive Design concentration as well as a management minor on the marketing track. In 2017, I had a sculpture installation featured along the Karl Stirner Arts Trail in Easton, PA, and my research and visual arts exhibition were accepted for presentation at the 2021 National Conference for Undergraduate Research. I work as the Social Media Coordinator, while serving on the communications committee for the Karl Stirner Arts Trail, and I have an active studio practice.

Melissa R. Strom was born in Newton, New Jersey, and she currently works out of the NYC Metropolitan area. Her work is very influenced by music, investigating aspects of mental health and mindfulness, as well as an array of social and political injustices. Primarily, she works with paint and found object assemblage, but her process is very exploratory. Her research methods include scavenging for fabric and found objects in thrift and antique stores, as well as studying a span of historic and current events. Recently, patterns, light and shadow, as well as textiles have become important aspects of her work, and she continues to explore different approaches to forming, altering, and handling these components.
